Frequently asked

Certification and transition

Build readiness with a clear view of the end goal.

Does QMSG provide ISO certification?

No. The QMSG Toolkit helps you establish the structure, practices and evidence needed to prepare for an independent assessment. QMSG is not a certification body. Certification decisions and certificates are issued by the independent certification body you choose.

How does QMSG support an ISO 9001:2026 transition?

QMSG gives your organisation a practical implementation route for translating requirements into owned ways of working, documented information and evidence. It is designed to help you build a system that can be reviewed and strengthened as transition expectations develop, without claiming official certification or compliance on your behalf.

When is an organisation ready for certification assessment?

Readiness depends on your scope, context and the evidence your organisation can demonstrate. In general, your system should be defined, operating, reviewed and improving before you approach an independent certification body. QMSG helps you work through those foundations; it does not make the assessment decision for you.

System and documentation

Understand what is included—and why it is connected.

What is included in the QMSG toolkit?

The toolkit contains 42 controlled, editable Word and Excel documents plus 6 supporting files (48 files in total). It includes procedures, forms, registers, work instructions, checklists, templates and implementation guides. They are connected as parts of one implementation system: procedures define the method, forms and registers capture evidence, and guides help people move through the work.

Can I download individual documents before purchasing?

Yes, for evaluation. The Sample Documents page offers three complete documents from the toolkit as watermarked PDFs (the Start Here Guide, the Nonconformance Report and the Change Plan & Review Record) and the full list of all 42 controlled documents. The editable Word and Excel files are supplied only with a licence.

Can the documents be customised for our organisation?

Yes. QMSG provides a professional starting structure that should be adapted to your organisation’s context, scope, roles, processes and evidence. Customisation is part of making the system usable; the system is not presented as a one-size-fits-all document package.

Is QMSG compatible with our existing systems and tools?

QMSG is designed to provide the implementation structure and working content. Your organisation can adapt that structure to the tools it already uses for documents, records, communication and operational work. Compatibility therefore depends on your current environment and how you choose to implement the system.

Licensing and updates

Choose a scope that matches how the system will be used.

Which licence is right for me?

Choose the Business Licence if you are implementing a quality management system for your own organisation, or the Consultant Licence if you will implement systems for clients. Both include the same Toolkit. The Pricing page and the Licence Agreement explain the difference.

Are updates included with every licence?

Yes. Both licences include updates QMSG releases within the same version generation (Version 2.x), where available. A future major version, such as Version 3.0, is not automatically included.

How will future QMSG updates be handled?

QMSG may release updates within Version 2.x but does not promise a particular schedule. When you receive an update, review it and adapt your own quality management system where the changes apply.

What support is included?

QMSG provides the implementation structure, guidance and working materials described on this website. Support covers questions about accessing and opening your files. Implementation consulting is not included unless it is purchased separately.

Implementation and teams

Make the system work in the real organisation.

How do we start implementing QMSG?

Start by understanding your scope, context, responsibilities and implementation sequence. Then adapt the foundation to your organisation, put the working practices into use, capture evidence and review what is working. The How It Works page explains the complete route from purchase through readiness.

How can consultants use QMSG with clients?

The Consultant Licence allows one licensed consultancy or business entity to use the QMSG toolkit to develop and implement client-specific quality management systems for unlimited clients. Clients may retain and use their completed, client-specific QMS documentation. The underlying reusable QMSG Toolkit Source Package may not be shared with or redistributed to clients or other parties, resold, sublicensed, supplied as a standalone product, or transferred to another consultant for independent use. See the Licence Agreement for the full terms.

Can QMSG support multi-site organisations?

Yes. A Business Licence covers one legal entity, including all of its own sites and locations. A separate legal entity, such as a subsidiary or sister company, needs its own licence. Each site may still need appropriate local ownership, process detail and evidence.

Does QMSG include internal audit support?

The toolkit includes procedures, checklists, registers and implementation guidance that can support internal audit planning, evidence gathering and follow-up actions. Internal audits still need to be planned and performed appropriately for your organisation, and QMSG does not replace competent audit judgement.
